Monthly Rebranding Series
May 2021 - June 2021
Rebranded by Lake Ashlee

Our monthly rebranding series is an experimental program inviting designers and non-designers alike to entirely rebrand our organization with an original concept. We simply provide a prompt and let them interpret the prompt however they choose to.

May has arrived and we are turning attention to the intuitive power of our bodies. This month, we had the pleasure of handing our branding over to Lake Ashlee.

Lake responded to our prompt: “Ask Your Body.” We will be sharing more of Lake’s thoughts on his design direction for May throughout the week.

Lake is a queer artist, designer, painter, illustrator, parent, husband, small biz owner and Georgia native. You can find him is his Jeep listening to Fleetwood Mac.

Monthly Rebranding Series
April 2021 - May 2021
Rebranded by Anneliese Moreno

Our monthly rebranding series is an experimental program inviting designers and non-designers alike to entirely rebrand our organization with an original concept. We simply provide a prompt and let them interpret the prompt however they choose to.

For April, we invited part - time microbiology major and part - time nanny Anneliese Moreno to interpret our prompt: “Use an Unnacceptable Color.” The following describes her rebranding concept:

“Now I’m no designer, but as a nanny, I do preach that you can be anything you want, so allow me to practice what I preach. The prompt I was given was, “Use an Unacceptable Color.” That’s when I was inspired by the favorite color of a five year old I care for: Unicorn Rainbow. That’s when my mind automatically went to patience and how both practice and patience go hand in hand. So for April, let us practice patience, and be inspired by minds of all ages.” -Anneliese Moreno

Monthly Rebranding Series
Mar 2021 - Apr 2021
Rebranded by Michael Martino

Based on the prompt “just carry on” Michael Martino focused upon the transitional nature of March with a visual interpretation of “In like a lion, out like a lamb.”

The identity itself will transition from death into life (Winter into Spring) throughout the month with color and type layouts shifting from a torrent into a state of peace towards the end of the month.

Monthly Rebranding Series
Feb 2021 - Mar 2021
Rebranded by Lori Brown

Our monthly rebranding series is an experimental program inviting designers and non-designers alike to entirely rebrand our organization with an original concept. We simply provide a prompt and let them interpret the prompt however they choose to.

This month, we handed over the reins to Lori Brown to envision the concept for our monthly rebrand. Lori is interested in transitioning from a career in tech/software marketing into interior design. The following describes her rebranding concept:

“This month's brand identity represents a mindset/lifestyle centered on continuous learning and finding comfort in the unpredictable journey of growth. In native american culture the color orange represents learning, and in modern american society orange is often associated with motivation and activity. The warm hue of orange suggests a sense of comfort and approachableness... that when combined with neutral beige brings a relaxed pleasantness or contentment in the lifelong process of learning and growing towards new goals. I chose to arrange the letters irregularly inside of a fixed plane to illustrate the many periods of unpredictable change that happen within the finite span of a person's life.” -Lori Brown

Monthly Rebranding Series
Jan 2021 - Feb 2021
Rebranded by Jen Kim

Our monthly rebranding series is an experimental program inviting designers and non-designers alike to entirely rebrand our organization with an original concept. We simply provide a prompt and let them interpret the prompt however they choose to.

Our January 2021 identity features a rebrand by guest designer Jen Kim. We’re thrilled to present her concept that will carry us through the month and into the new year. The following describes her rebranding concept:

“This month’s identity represents a feeling of sanguine. The bold reds and warm yellows and oranges exude confidence and optimism going into the new year. The typemark gradient starts transparent and becomes crisp to represent leaving behind uncertainties and moving forward with assurance.” -Jen Kim

Currency

Designer Alex Kirsch led us on an exploration of how we’ve transitioned from a currency system that consisted of objects with inherent value to a currency system of symbolic value.

What does that mean in today's world for us?
For brands?
